Today is the last day of the VCTI-Micro project, and consequently, my last day here at ASTI. The Virtual Center for Technological Innovation in Microelectronics (VCTI-Micro) is a flagship program of the Philippine Government established to strengthen the microelectronics base in the country.
The project started with a bang, but ended in a whimper. It was bound to fail from the start because it aspired too much and hired the wrong set of people. The staff was eventually replaced with the correct set of engineers but not in the most critical position. I joined the project during the latter half but it was already limping towards the end.

That’s such a lovely photo for your blog banner… that I feel compelled to comment on it.
(OK, I was actually random blog hopping from the 2007 Philippine Blogger Awards (where you are nominated in the Personal category. Good luck with that.)
Thanks!
Hi,
I’ve been searching the Internet for details on Faith Retreat and Conference Center when I came across your site. And since I’m a little familiar with VCTI-Micro and ASTI, I was naturally compelled (in order words, nag-usyoso.
) to click on the VCTI link.
You have a nice site.Continue the good work.
Good day!
